I picked these Doom, Romero Games, ID Software goodies, All signed, in addition to meeting the Legend John Romero at #PlayExpoBlackpool 2023. I’m looking forward to reading the autobiography of one of my heroes, ‘Masters of Doom’, is still one of my favourite reads. And I can’t wait to try out Sigal, new Megawad for the original Doom. #doom#romero#playexpo
So happy; this guy is Doom to me. Hero of mine. Buzzing. The IT skills I gained, modding his games helped me in my career, and was a massive contributor to our family’s lifestyle, and now I help others; the dude is incredible; I owe him. And he is such a nice guy. He is bloody John Romero, #PLAYExpo
It was such a big deal for me, and I loved that Luke was with me to share. The ID guys are an inspiration to us all. Delivery the best you can do, making it what you want and it’s not just about the end product, but the ride/journey to the product. Enjoy what you do!
This is just awesome, have to watch the video. ‘Elden Ring has bagged another Game of the Year award, and FromSoftware sent the one and only Ranni the Witch to collect its latest trophy.
The New York Videogame Critics Circle crowned Elden Ring the best game of 2022 at the recent New York Game Awards(opens in new tab). FromSoftware’s open-world epic was also nominated for best writing, best music, and best world. It ended up winning best world as well, and Bandai Namco representatives were joined by an impressively dressed Ranni (Charlotte Wells, or Charlottew1tch on Twitter(opens in new tab) and Instagram(opens in new tab)) for their acceptance speeches (around 53 minutes and 2 hours and 36 minutes in). “I am the witch Ranni. I accept this award as it was written in the stars,” Ranni said of the best world award, apparently doing just fine after ushering in the Age of Stars in my playthrough. “My thanks, Tarnished. This is mine.” Returning to the stage to collect the show’s ultimate prize, the Big Apple Game of the Year award, Ranni said: “My thanks. Finally, all the pieces are in place. This is mine. All mine.”
Had my first play on Warzone 2.0, which also included trying a new mode called DMZ. DMZ seemed based on the mechanics of Escape from Tarkov. Quite enjoyed both modes, so will go back. It’s a lot faster than PUBG, and the graphics are really great. I have all the graphics on max setting, with FPS limited to 120. Managing to get between 95-110 FPS when playing. Played with Lewis and Josh. Lewis and me on PC, Josh welding his PS5. We had a few problems with the in-game chat in the beginning (UI seems a bit stupid), but we managed to get it working after about 5 mins. I really do wish they all would just use Dischord. I had a game on my own, and so weird. The first game was an open mic. All I could hear whilst playing was a baby crying and a woman shouting, assuming she was shouting at the person playing the game. This went on for the entire round. How can someone just play with the baby crying? They must know others will be able to hear them.
I did a few, but not that many side quests. Some really good side quests, but also some rinse-and-repeat stuff. I will keep jumping back in, now and again and do more. I do enjoy the combat and mixing up the tactics. IMO it improves as you get more skills, variety is a plus.
Completed the story Elden Ring and bloody loved it. Totally EPIC in world creation and gameplay. Took my time, explored and just got totally lost in the world created. @ELDENRING thanks @fromsoftware_pr
