Top games that I played in 2021. The first part of the year continued with the lockdown and this is the year I got into FPGA, MiSTeR project. Spent a lot of time retro gaming, ZXSpectrum, Amiga, and Arcades.

I update the hardware and software on my arcade machine, managed to preserve the high scores, switched OS to Windows 10 and swapped out the Arcade VGA GPU with a generic ATI card that I modded to out 15Khz

Treated me to an RTX3090, so tried out lots and lots of ray tracing stuff. It’s so nice just lifting the Visuals and performance setting up HIGH and not having to worry.

1. PUBG: Battlegrounds

Still our goto game, many chicken dinners with Dave, Lewis and Chris

2. Returnal

Loved it, hard as hell. brilliant

3. New World

The first MMO i really enjoyed and put time into it since WOW, I can see me playing this for a while

4. Death’s Door

What a great game, played through the entire game in December, loved every minute and stayed up late to complete (always a good sign)

5. Deathloop

great concept and solid gameplay, need to play more of this

6. Forza Horizon 5

i am not really a car racing guy but I really had fun with this, played it lots more than I thought I would

7. Halo Infinite

solid FPS, played both single and multi player. Holy crap, XBOX Gamepass is good value

8. Outriders

Multiplay with Mark and Lewis (Xbox Series X and PS5 cross play)

9. Gunfire Reborn

Multiplay with Chris

10. Deep Rock Galactic

Played with Chris and Dave online

11. The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark

12. World of Warcraft

Went back into WOW Classic, what a solid game. Have fun time jumping back in, played some with Jim (reliving the CULT Gaming days)

14. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Watched series 2, installed the HD pack and dived back in (Bought it again in steam, even though I already have it on GO :-)

Looking forward to playing more and maybe finish it, I was about 80% through the main story line

Really enjoyed the game, but after a few hrs I found it got very repetitive, loved the visuals and environment

17. No Man’s Sky

more DLC, continued to dive in and out :-)

18. Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender

still one of my fav shumps, just always want a blast on it

19. Demon’s Souls

Having loved it when i first played and put in tons of hrs last year. got the urge to go back and finish it. but again, feel of it. The visuals, although amazing. I do think makes the game less scary and the increase in speed makes it easier.

20. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

I was so looking forward to this , as I love all the other FROM titles. But I just never grabbed me, not the combat, the world or the story. Just not for me :-( was gutted

Played multi player wwith Lewis, was fun

22. Disco Elysium

23. Bit.Trip Beat

Just had an urge to play it again, was in an Arkanoid zone. Also played a game on Steam called arkanoid

24. Pinball FX3

Highscore chasing, on XBOX Series X

25. Microsoft Flight Simulator

Installed, amazed at visuals, flow over our house and some previous houses. than uninstalled :-)

27. Darius Burst: Chronicle Saviours

28. Quake II

Quake 2 RTX, played it to try out the ray tracing
