  • Meeting John Romero at PlayExpoBlackpool 2023: A Doom Fan’s Dream Come True

Meeting John Romero at PlayExpoBlackpool 2023: A Doom Fan’s Dream Come True

I picked these Doom, Romero Games, ID Software goodies, All signed, in addition to meeting the Legend John Romero at #PlayExpoBlackpool 2023. I’m looking forward to reading the autobiography of one of my heroes, ‘Masters of Doom’, is still one of my favourite reads. And I can’t wait to try out Sigal, new Megawad for the original Doom. #doom #romero #playexpo

  • Meeting the Legend, John Romero

    Meeting the Legend, John Romero

So happy; this guy is Doom to me. Hero of mine. Buzzing. The IT skills I gained, modding his games helped me in my career, and was a massive contributor to our family’s lifestyle, and now I help others; the dude is incredible; I owe him. And he is such a nice guy. He is bloody John Romero, #PLAYExpo

It was such a big deal for me, and I loved that Luke was with me to share. The ID guys are an inspiration to us all. Delivery the best you can do, making it what you want and it’s not just about the end product, but the ride/journey to the product. Enjoy what you do!

  • Tried out WARZONE 2.0

    Tried out WARZONE 2.0

Had my first play on Warzone 2.0, which also included trying a new mode called DMZ. DMZ seemed based on the mechanics of Escape from Tarkov. Quite enjoyed both modes, so will go back. It’s a lot faster than PUBG, and the graphics are really great. I have all the graphics on max setting, with FPS limited to 120. Managing to get between 95-110 FPS when playing.
Played with Lewis and Josh. Lewis and me on PC, Josh welding his PS5. We had a few problems with the in-game chat in the beginning (UI seems a bit stupid), but we managed to get it working after about 5 mins. I really do wish they all would just use Dischord.
I had a game on my own, and so weird. The first game was an open mic. All I could hear whilst playing was a baby crying and a woman shouting, assuming she was shouting at the person playing the game. This went on for the entire round. How can someone just play with the baby crying? They must know others will be able to hear them.

  • Completed the story, Cyberpunk 2077

    Completed the story, Cyberpunk 2077

    Completed the story, #CyberpunkGame

@CDPROJEKTRED AWESOME 44.5 hrs, went quick

I did a few, but not that many side quests. Some really good side quests, but also some rinse-and-repeat stuff. I will keep jumping back in, now and again and do more. I do enjoy the combat and mixing up the tactics. IMO it improves as you get more skills, variety is a plus.
